What does BoostBac™ do?
After preclinical and pilot studies, we conducted a six-week randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blinded clinical efficacy study for BoostBac™. Nearly 300 people across the United States completed the study, representing a wide range of ages, genders, and ethnicities. The results of this trial provide clinical evidence that BoostBac™ can reduce sleep problems and decrease persistent, systemic inflammation throughout the body.
BoostBac™ and Sleep
A portion of the clinical study included a validated questionnaire with statements assessing various elements of sleep quality that participants responded to weekly. The prompts were scored on a numerical scale, where lower scores directly represented fewer sleep disturbances and therefore indirectly indicating better sleep. By the end of the six-week study, compared to those taking the placebo, the participants taking BoostBac™ demonstrated significantly fewer sleep problems.
One way that BoostBac™ reduces sleep problems could be through its ability to regulate circadian rhythms and increase melatonin production. A contributing factor to this ability is the secretion of serotonin and dopamine, two neurotransmitters related to healthy sleep and a range of other positive health outcomes.
BoostBac™ and Inflammation
Following the clinical trial, participants who took BoostBac™ showed a statistically significant reduction of multiple pro-inflammatory biomarkers compared to those who took the placebo. The affected biomarkers play a role in long-term inflammation and are implicated in various immune dysfunctions. Our ingredient’s capability to reduce the production of these biomarkers shows its effectiveness in regulating long-term inflammation while promoting a balanced immune system.
In addition to decreasing pro-inflammatory biomarkers, BoostBac™ produces metabolites and enzymes that help retain a balanced gut microbiome, contributing to overall immune system balance throughout the body.
