Solve high-value anaerobic digester challenges and see a significant return on investment with Biotifx® AN!
About Biotifx® AN
Biotifx® AN is a powerful blend of micronutrients enhanced with a Bacillus strain package selected for high anaerobic metabolic activity. When dosed into an anaerobic digester, the micronutrients in AN:
- Provide key—often limited—nutrients
- Increase enzyme activity
- Promote higher microbial activity
In turn, the Bacillus in AN:
- Increase hydrolysis
- Improve VFA conversion
- Support consistent system performance
- Digest sludge
This dual approach can result in increased methane production, improved gas quality, and reduced sludge hauling for anaerobic digester facilities.
Creating Biotifx® AN
Biotifx® AN was strategically developed in three stages:
- Product formulation: We selected micronutrients that are typically limited in digesters and Bacillus strains that can anaerobically digest a wide range of material.
- Laboratory methane potential testing: We monitored solids reduction, methane output, and changes in VFA profiles across a variety of feedstocks, noting consistent improvements.
- Field trial: Our trial resulted in significant (>10:1) ROI due to the effects of Biotifx® AN on methane output, gas quality, and solids digestion.
