Dispersed Growth

When there are a high amount of bacteria dispersed in the bulk liquid between the flocs, this can result in a cloudy supernatant and high effluent suspended solids.
Causes Include:
– High F/M Ratio
– Rapid Temp. Change
– Toxicity
– Presence of Surfactants
– Shock Load
– Cation Imbalance
