Animal Health

PathKinex™ is a unique pathogen surveillance program from United Animal Health (UAH) that promotes a greater understanding of the factors influencing animal health and performance. PathKinex™ serves as the engine for UAH’s continuous microbial innovation platform, allowing for the development of informed intervention strategies and the ability to determine pathogen trends.

PathKinex™ follows a three-step process to bring pathogens into focus:

DETECT

markers and virulence genes unique to bacterial, viral, and fungal pathogens of interest.

QUANTIFY

differences in various virulence genes between animals of differing health status.

CORRELATE

relationships between factors associated with sick and healthy populations.
