Wisconsin-Based Bacillus Manufacturing and R&D Company Returns to Aquatech Mexico
Microbial Discovery Group Exhibits and Presents Bioaugmentation Success in Wastewater

Oak Creek, WI (July 20, 2023) – Microbial Discovery Group (MDG) will exhibit at Aquatech Mexico 2023, Mexico’s largest exhibition and conference for process, drinking, and wastewater, September 5-7, from 12-7 PM (12:00-19:00 hrs). Located at the Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City, Mexico, MDG’s booth number is 1929 in the USA Pavilion.

In addition to participating in the exhibition, Josiah Menako, MDG’s wastewater Microbiologist and Technical Support Lead, is presenting on Tuesday, September 5, from 1:00-1:30 PM (13:00-13:30 hrs) at the AquaStage, as well as on Thursday September 7, at 1:30 PM (13:00 hrs) at the Technological Innovation for the Water Sector Conference in Hall C.

“We found our participation last year to be extremely valuable,” says Menako. “We are eager to return to Mexico to continue to build relationships with Latin American wastewater treatment companies and show how bacteria can treat wastewater and offer sustainable solutions.”

Menako’s presentation goes in depth about real-world successes from Biotifx® trials and the return on investment brought to distributors treating wastewater using bioaugmentation. Biotifx® Bacillus enhances and shift the native microbial population to efficiently digest organic material in municipal and industrial wastewater. The presentation covers two Biotifx® bioaugmentation white papers and meta-analysis data and results from sludge digestion in lagoons and hydrogen sulfide reduction in collection systems. The referenced MDG white papers are published through Wastewater Digest and the Association of Water Technologies’ The Analyst.

Mexico Publishes New Official Standard

The Official Mexican Standard titled NOM-001-SEMARNAT-2021 was published on March 11, 2022. The NOM informs that companies with permits that allow them to discharge wastewater into federal waterways, will need to comply with the newly stated discharge parameters. To further understand the NOM specifics please visit Cacheaux Cavazos & Newton.

With a vision to Feed, Clean, and Save the world, MDG is honored to join Aquatech Mexico for another year to collaborate with wastewater treatment professionals, experts, and investors to help navigate Mexico’s most recent regulations in wastewater.
