MDG’s 2021 Year in Review showcases the accomplishments of our Biotifx® Platform.
We break down how our People, Products and Programs supported MDG partners,
treated record breaking numbers of wastewater, and worked to Feed, Clean and Save the World.
Since the launch of Biotifx®, MDG’s products have treated all 50 states, nearly all of North America and beyond.
In 2021 alone, our flagship wastewater treatment product, Biotifx, was used in 46 states and over 20 countries.
In 2021, Biotifx® treated over 100 municipalities and over 300 industrial plants, treating water across different temperatures and water chemistries.
In three different applications, (municipal, pulp and paper, and dairy) we tested Biotifx® FRZ against other bacteria-based products and found that Biotifx® FRZ stayed at a consistent 92% activity during the wintertime while competitors dropped to 1% and 5% activity. Biotifx® FRZ helps prevent seasonal upsets and operational challenges associated with cold temperatures, such as large releases of H2S and sludge accumulation.
On top of providing laboratory support, we provide in-field technical support to our partners. In 2021 our wastewater support team broke their records for hours spent in the field and visited more locations than ever before. Biotifx® Partners leverage the expertise of the technical support team to gain valuable field experience and fast wins. In the field, we focus on problem diagnosis, survey conditions, dosing adjustments, and ROI opportunities for our partners’ clients.
MDG recognized the need for sustainable solutions to the world’s largest problems: lack of accessible food, limited access to clean water, and poor sanitation and disease. These issues compel us every day to work towards our vision to FEED, CLEAN, and SAVE THE WORLD.
In addition to the work that our Bacillus made towards our mission to Feed, Clean, and Save the World, our people also got out into the local community to make a further impact. We were able to support our strategic partners with donations and volunteer hours, and this work has inspired us to give back even more in 2022.
