Job Overview:

The Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain will be responsible for spearheading the procurement function and optimizing end-to-end supply chain operations. By leveraging expertise and leadership, this role is pivotal in driving our company’s competitive advantage, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining a robust supplier network. This role requires exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for manufacturing and supply chain operations, aligning them with the overall business objectives and growth strategies.
  • Oversee the manufacturing processes, including production planning, scheduling, and execution, to ensure efficient resource utilization, cost-effective production, and timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Forecast and plan manufacturing capacity to meet current and future demands. Foster effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, including research and development, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and supply chain. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing operations.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of the manufacturing operations and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies in all procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential disruptions to the supply chain.
  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including sourcing, production planning, logistics, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and align procurement with production schedules.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to balance stock levels and minimize supply chain risks.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in the supply chain.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and maintain strong relationships.
  • Continuously assess and optimize supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreed-upon standards.

Qualifications:

  • Supply chain certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
  • Experience in the Biotech industry preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, with 5+ years of in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
