Position Summary

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing various marketing projects, processes, and providing support for the marketing and sales department through a variety of channels, print, digital, web, video, and others as assigned.

The Marketing Specialist should have strong writing skills to assist with the development and implementation of specific campaigns. Responsibilities will also include the management of internal communications along with a variety of other creative tasks as assigned.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties

Working closely with the Marketing Manager in collaboration with the Product Manager and sales executives, will handle a broad range of duties to include:

  • Planning and producing compelling content for both print and web, including articles, newsletters, sales collateral, and social media with minimal assistance and supervision
  • Ability to transform communications created by executives (sometimes very technical) into creative approachable formats to be used in both digital and traditional outreach efforts
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with an eye for detail, ensuring content stays on brand and is customized for the appropriate audience
  • Will manage email scheduling for internal communications as well as in the assigned market in a timely manner. Coordinate email initiatives; support email list management, ensure templates are properly set-up and tagged for reporting and traceability
  • Strong sense of branding, typography, composition, and color, a sharp eye for detail
  • Ability to create or coordinate design/layout directives as necessary to support campaign communications
  • Understanding of how to create and present persuasive content
  • Collaborate in the building of communication plans to identify key communication tactics for assigned market
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices for web content and collateral
  • May support the planning and execution of trade show(s) and corporate events through the design of booth layouts and all event collateral and pre- and post-event promotion
  • Video and Photography: The Marketing Specialist may assist in the editing and management of photography and videos used for marketing and internal training such as media for employee photos and events
  • Digital and Print Management: The Marketing Specialist will manage digital asset libraries such as photography, fonts, corporate projects and information, and vector graphics
  • Ability to handle disparate groups, helping achieve group consensus while staying on strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve necessary results
  • Extremely organized with the ability to adhere to timelines, coordinate meetings and presentations, and delegate and prioritize tasks independently
  • Oversee minor website updates
  • Helps to order and manage promotional items
  • Work with print vendors to ensure consistency in quality and pricing
  • Ability to review content for accuracy, flow, grammar, punctuation, and spelling

Position Qualifications

Experience/Training

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Advertising; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Some experience with Salesforce and marketing automation, Pardot preferred
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Email and Social Media Management tools, or a strong desire to learn and grow skillset
  • Graphic Design is a plus
  • Experience with content management database programs
  • Experience planning and leading initiatives
  • HTML and CSS proficiency a plus
